About Scott Maddox:
Scott Maddox is a patent attorney in Houston, Texas. He is a admitted to the Texas State Bar and is registered to practice patent law before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
After graduating from the University of New Orleans in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering, Scott worked at Lockheed Martin as an engineer performing spacecraft thermal analysis for six years. This hands-on experience in engineering enables Scott to better understand his clients and their inventions.
Scott earned his Juris Doctorate at the University of Houston Law Center in 2005. He studied at UH’s Institute of Intellectual Property and Information Law, one of the top 10 programs in the U.S. for intellectual property law education. Scott joined the Law Office of Art Dula in 2004.
Scott has experience prosecuting patents in the following technology areas: aerospace, mechanical devices, power generation, oil and gas, plasma physics, quantum physics, and information systems.
